Mediation

Not every dispute has to be decided in court. In mediation, the parties work out their own lasting solution with the support of a neutral mediator.

What matters

What distinguishes mediation

Self-determined

The parties retain control of the decision. The mediator does not impose a solution but structures the discussion.

Confidential

What is discussed in mediation remains confidential.

Forward-looking

Those who will continue to deal with one another – as parents, within the family or at work – often find more peace in a joint solution than in a judgment.

Binding, if desired

The results are recorded in a final agreement and can be made binding, for example by notarisation.
